Pretect has begun development of a new modular early learning centre on behalf of Assisi Kindergarten in Strathfieldsaye, central Victoria.
Backed by a state Government grant of $650,000 from the Children’s Facilities Capital Program and support from St. Therese’s Parish, the prefab construction project is expected to reach completion in just five months. This will be the third modular project undertaken by Pretect on behalf of the client.
Pretect successfully tendered to design and construct the modern, sustainable kindergarten building, which will be completed at our central manufacturing plant using largely green materials. The building will comprise of an impressive 500m2 of internal space and a large outdoor undercover area to provide a flexible learning area that meets the unique needs of the kindergarten.
Our unique architectural design for the kindergarten is both attractive and practical. It features a large, high section in the centre of the building with 6.5m high ceiling designed to maximise the sunlight reaching the internal space, reducing electricity consumption.
Pretect’s tried and tested system for the design and construction of quality prefab education buildings ensures we deliver on time and on budget, and will complete the Assisi Kindergarten on schedule for opening in January 2017.
